Chabot College offers the following degrees and/or certificates:

• 2-year degree in Fire Technology
• 2-year degree in Fire Prevention Inspector
• Certificate of Achievement in Fire Technology
• Certificate of Achievement in Fire Prevention Inspector
   

The primary difference between a 2-year degree and a Certificate of Achievement is that the degree requires the student to also take the General Education courses. If you are debating about which to obtain, go for the 2-year degree as it will look better on your resume and the General Education courses will be of tremendous benefit.
